Thomas J's Story

Tom’s Story The fall of 1970 I arrived at CB East High School after Lenape JHS and Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Attending CB East was an experience where I was welcomed by similar students. I further was blessed to be able to share precious time with friends, classmates, teachers, neighbors and people in our society. Some of the students were prior classmates as existing friendships and other students were from different schools. The time was so precious because life was precious and although life in society was questionable with the war in Vietnam, politics and government; today some 45 years later, it still is questionable. During the years of 1971 and 1972 at CB East I continued to enjoy the education and times with all the great students and teachers. Learning was fun and interacting with students made moments in time; memories. If you have ever thought once for a day or a second what you were doing or the experience you were engaged in while in school, whether on the bus, greeting a person at their lockers, talking in the snack bar or with fellow student/s in private, you have those memories to hold on to and don’t let them go. I would definitely say they were the years of exploration and innocence. Some students, had schedules of classes that were devoted to education at the Jamison MBVTC, others participated in sports or activities in promotion of the School's spiri...Expand for more
t. During my Junior year I was informed that I would be leaving CB East for another school; heading out west. This was before the internet and true technology, so I headed in that direction with little guidance or knowledge. 1973 I transferred to SNVTC Las Vegas to finish my education where I graduated in 1974. Since the High School days, I completed a tour with the U.S. ARMY, the ARMY National Guard. Currently, with the U. S. Postal Service as a letter carrier, NALC as union member and union representative. Now some 45 plus years later I stumble on this web site, Classmates. WOW! Numerous times I had considered high school reunions as well as time spent visiting the area of Doylestown and Bucks County; no reunions mentioned, however there were those that I did meet or run into by accident and we discussed old times and what we were up to. I did get married and have a son 38 and daughter 35. Those that have touched my life, Thank You! I have not forgot who you are. The memory is an eternal light that will always be bright with joy and happiness. For those that have either sacrificed your life or limb for our country and or have departed us for other reasons, I will forever hold you deep and near to my heart each and every day. If I am ever fortunate to cross paths with you, let it occur and let it be good! If you get an urge and want to say Hi! Feel free to correspondence CB East- Class of 1974, I can be reached at PO BOX 13851 Las Vegas NV 89112. "Lets not let the eternal light burn out" 27 December 2018
